Please and Thank You SOOOOO much!!! @beccaboo333

OpenStudy (beccaboo333):

Parallel structure means using the same pattern of words to show that two or more ideas have the same level of importance. This can happen at the word, phrase, or clause level. The usual way to join parallel structures is with the use of coordinating conjunctions such as "and" or "or." https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/623/01/

okay thanks

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

It should be B. Not certain, this is more of a literature thing, which I'm not too involved in. But I'm sure parallel structures try to emphasize a certain point in the novel by using techniques Becca link to. It makes the story interesting and easier to understand. c:

okay thank you sooooo much!!!!!

It definitely doesn't make it more complex, and it is supposed to add interest to the text, so C and D are out. I think it's B, because you wouldn't use a writing strategy to confuse a reader.
