(c) current in each loop will decrease, because when they approach each other then the flux through each will increase and using Lenz's law the direction of the induced current will be such that it will oppose the cause that produces it.

I agree, both currents should decrease.

yes.. thats what i reasoned too.. but for some reason they didn't agree :P they argued.. nothing happens and current remains same!! ok moving on
