-(2x + 3) > 5

awsomekrishn bro.,. ,, one of my teacher said in the very earlier that i can solve this inequality like this :
as the inequality is |2x-3| > 5
so first i need to do like this: -3+2 = -1
and then i have to add it with the 5 and that means +5-1 = 4
so then i can get result like a pattern like : -1<x<4 okay?? ...
but its not the result actually....
can you please describe the method if you guys know about it...
