A line segment has endpoints of (-2,4) and (4,-2. Find the equation of the line that forms its perpendicular bisector

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Help please!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1. find the equation of the line with these points: y= -x + 2 2. opposite reciprocal slope and keep y-intercept: x + 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the slope i got -1/1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it should be 6/-6 for the line and for the perpendicular bisector it's 6/6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes then i reduced the slope -1/1. But now i realize you flip it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, it's the opposite reciprocal slope- you flip the numbers and change the sign

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then you should get 1x/1 + 1

correct or no?
