A paper cone has a base diameter of 8cm and a height of 3cm. Calculate the volume of the cone in terms of pi

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

Where are you stuck ?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

so than you know formula for volum of a cone so just us it ... or what is difficile area of base ? so this is pi*r^2 where r you will get than divide the diameter by 2 hope this will help you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A cone's volume is represented by the equation V=Πr²(h/3), where v is volume, r is the radius, and h is the height. Now, you plug in your variables. Your height is 3, so 3/3=1, canceling out that part of the equation (something times 1 is the same). Next, plug in the radius. It's 8 cm, so 8²=64. Your answer is 64Πcm³, or 200.96cm³.
