Roses-R-Red Florist charges $0.75 for each flower in an arrangement and $20.00 for delivery. If the charge for a particular arrangement to be delivered was $32.00, how many flowers were in the arrangement?

OpenStudy (beccaboo333):

Well you can knock $20.00 off the flowers price due to that being the delivery cost. So you're left with $12.00 to figure out the total amount of flowers. How you would do this is by taking 12 and multiplying it by .75 That is how you will find your total amount of flowers in the bunch. c:

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

f = flowers 0.75f + 20.00 = 32.00 now just solve for f and you will have your answer
