so the question is \[y = -3\cos(\frac{1}{4}x)\]

ok... so to find the period you need to use \[\frac{2\pi}{b}\] in the question you posted b = 1/4 so the period is \[period = \frac{2\pi}{\frac{1}{4}}\] you just need to simplify it
to do that dont i just multiply the whole thing by 1/4?

well when you divide by a fraction flip it and them multiply so its \[\frac{2\pi}{1} \times \frac{4}{1} = \]
