I got 77pi/6 Can someone check my work? I'll give a medal! Thanks!.. These rotation of solids are still confusing to me..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what region are you rotating and about what line? the picture only shows the regions...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh sorry. about the Y axis ( about OC )

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok... which region are you rotating about the y-axs? is it R3 ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok... i'll check... hang on...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'll be right back, thanks for your help. I always award medals for help! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmmm... when i use the shell-method, i get: 2pi/3 but when i use the disc-method, i get: 2pi/5 lemme double check...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok... i verified it... both methods are giving me 2pi/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you show your steps? please? :)

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

@student1988 Please show your integrals. What method did you use and what did you create to be solved.
