OpenStudy (anonymous):

$\log_{10}\sqrt{5}$

OpenStudy (anonymous):

$\log_{10}\sqrt{5}=\log_{10}5^{1/2}=(1/2)\log_{10}5$and you got it from there, if there is anything left to do :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah I don't understand how to even put a log in my calculator... the multiple choice answers given are decimals.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.698970004336 is what you get when you plug that in so its about 0.7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that one of your options?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes! 0.6990 Thank you! I cant figure out how to put logs in my calculator... :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

$0.349458$

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you have a graphing calculator?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh no.... help_me answer is there too... Which is right??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if so what model is it. and log should just be one of the buttons that is available to you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

TI-83

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, same as me. see the red circle? thats where you do logs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I still don't get the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well I still don't know how to plug it in... I press log then 10 but what about square root of 5??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.349485002168. i just checked again and @HELP_ME! is correct. go with their answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for this one, you do not need to type in 10. your calculator with go to the default of log base 10 automatically

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to do square roots you press the yellow 2nd button near the top, and then the x^2 button above the log button

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for basically every button, it has 3 different options. the main one (if you just press the button) is the one in white labeled on the button itself. Above each button you should see some small yellow writing and some small green writing. to select the yellow option, press the yellow 2nd button and then the main button. to select the green option, press the green "ALPHA" button and then the main button

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah thank you! Okay... So can you please help me with two other log questions. I suck. 1. Evaluate: |dw:1402273623896:dw|
