A store bought a set of bunk beds at a cost of $40 and marked it up 150%. A salesperson named Greg sold the set this morning, earning a 7% commission on the selling price. How much commission did Greg make from the sale?

$40 (Starting Price) * 2.5 (Mark up Price) = $100 $100 * .07 (Commission Amount) = $7 Therefore Greg Made $7 from the sale!
ahyy where did the 2.5 came from??
Alright, so if you multiplied something by 1 you would get the same thing right? If you multiply something by 1.5 you get 1 and a half of the original value. 2.5 is 1 plus 1.5 (or in this case 150% more). Ask more questions if you need help!
