Simplify 4(3g + 2) distributive property

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

we need to distribute the 4 through the parenthesis...alll that means is multiply 4 by everything in the parenthesis. 4(3g + 2)....this is the same as : 4 * 3g + 4 * 2 now multiply and what do you get ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

12g+8

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

exactly...way to go :) wait...does your teacher want it factored ?

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

nvm...lol...its 12g + 8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have no clue it just says simplify this expression

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

its 12g + 8 because the factored form is the original problem 4(3g + 2)
