Choose the expression that correctly uses the distributive property to remove the parentheses from this expression. 5(y+2)+3(y-4) A) 5y+2+3y-12 B) 5y+2+3y-4 C)5y+10+3y+4 D) 5y+10+3y-12

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

remember how to distribute ? Multiply the number outside of the parenthesis by everything inside the parenthesis. 5(y + 2) + 3(y - 4) is the same as : 5 * y + 5 * 2 + 3 * y - 3 * 4 can you do it now ?
