Ok if there asking for the ratio of X's to O's and there is 8 of each would that be 8:1 or 1:1?

there are 8 X's and 8 O's ?? if so, ratio = 8:8 = 1:1

"8 of each" implies both are 8, so the ratio would be 1:1 only
