Linear algebra Network Question, Row reduced echelon form, Question: http://imgur.com/bGQXqmO So I got an inconsistent system which is not what I expected anyone able to check this for me and confirm if I made a mistake?

OpenStudy (epoweritheta):

friend we only get 5 independent equations for each node , but have u written a sixth equation by adding the above 5 equations ??

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

So there is no total equation to be included in the network?

OpenStudy (epoweritheta):

ya , it is unnessesary because , even if u add , when doing elimination , you will have a row of zeros there

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

I thought in regards to these questions, what goes in must = what comes out out So it should be consistant with the system, but why did I get an inconsistant answer?

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

arithmetic error?

OpenStudy (epoweritheta):

wait i will see ...

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

I found it I think

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

Just messed up coefficient addition

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

I switched rows and didnt take it into consideration

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

thanks for the help

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

blah now I need to check all my arithmetic blah

OpenStudy (epoweritheta):

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

OpenStudy (epoweritheta):

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

I have to find a general solution to this problem would you mind checking my answer for me?

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

Does this solution look correct for the system? http://i.imgur.com/Q6w9Pq3.png
