solve for B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multi choice is b equals eight-ninths b equals one-half b equals one-fourth b equals four-ninths

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First step is to add 1/6 to both sides so you now get \[\frac{ 3 }{ 4 }b = \frac{ 1 }{ 2 } + \frac{ 1 }{ 6 }\] Then we combine then two fraction on the right side by multiplying the half by 3 on top on bottom and adding to the 1/6\[\frac{ 3 }{ 4 }b = \frac{ 3 }{ 6 } + \frac{ 1 }{ 6 }\]\[\frac{ 3 }{ 4 }b = \frac{ 4 }{ 6 }\] For the last step we divide throughout by 3/4\[b = \frac{ 4 }{ 6 } \div \frac{ 3 }{4 } = \frac{ 4 }{ 6 } \times \frac{ 4 }{ 3 } = \frac{ 16 }{ 18 } = \frac{ 8 }{ 9 }\]

I prefere that people answered in full so you can learn for yourself how to do these :D. Ask if there is any part you are stuck on or need a nudge in the right direction.
