2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

howd you get that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

+4

OpenStudy (eric_d):

shld be 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do you get that?

OpenStudy (eric_d):

remember... symmetrical line of curve

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

`h` is the x coordinate of vertex (turning point)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

`k` is the y coordinate of vertex (turning point)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it is 4?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Yes ! the graph is turning at (4, -2) so h = 4 k = -2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok I got h and k mixed up :D thanks!

OpenStudy (mathmate):

Start with the standard equation: f(x)=a(x-h)+k when h>0, the vertex moves to the Right.

OpenStudy (mathmate):

And (h,k) is the vertex.
