Let's say when there are spammers around in the chats, and they keep on spamming and not stopping. That can get pretty annoying, so why can't there be a limit to how many messages you can send quickly... Like a maximum of 5 quick messages? Kind of like TinyChat....

OS is in fact getting a mild update in the coming days. This involves one major overhaul, but there are no other security updates AFAIK. Other things are in the works, and you may see some of them reflect in the coming months!

100% fix.
Would be a pain in the posterior for spammers to constantly verify their account over and over again :)

when my account was having issues, i tried to make a legit email to ahve a more permanent presence .... but it turned out that after i made a google account and went to use it, that someone else had used that same account name for a 'fake' email and i couldnt use it.

so even legit emails, if they are already being used fakely, have issues.

The verification system used to have problems associated with it. Not sure how it is these days. But yes, everyone would love to see that idea if it is executed smoothly.

Yeah, but trolls tend to spam the chats more than the questions. The questions can easily be deleted.

Currently you can log in 3 times on an unverified account. No wonder why so many people create a new account every day...
And @sammixboo the question spammers are a particular nasty kind. I've spend hours cleaning up the aftermath xD

Sammi you have no idea how nasty question spams can get lol, I'm not going to say the name but there was a dedicated troll on OS for a while, had a grudge against me since I didn't give him answers, and oh boy did I feel bad for the mods during those times...I still stand by, no verified account = as much power as a guest.
