OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

Which inequality is represented by the graph? here is the graph (copy and paste into search box) https://media.education2020.com/evresources/2003-07-03-00-00_files/i0210000.jpg

OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

I'll give you a MEDAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

If you want I can give u my options

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't feel like doing school sorry

OpenStudy (neer2890):

As horizontal axis is x axis so it represents x. we can see that x is between -1 and 3 -1<=x<=3

OpenStudy (neer2890):

any questions @SydtheKid913 ???

OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

sorry neer that's not one of my choices

OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

got anything else?

OpenStudy (neer2890):

then give your choices?

OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

kk

OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

\[A. 15\le \left| -3x+3 \right|+9\] \[B. \ge \left| -3x+3 \right|-9\] \[C. \left| -3x+3 \right|\le6\] \[D. \left| -3x-3 \right|\ge6\]

OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

Thank you!

OpenStudy (neer2890):

what is 2nd option?

OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

O sorry I'll fix that

OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

there is supposed to be a 15 in front of the sign

OpenStudy (neer2890):

ok. now you can check whether the inequality holds for the value of x between -1 and 3 option 1 is incorrect as it does not hold for 0. because for x=0 15<=3+9 15<=12 which is wrong.

OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

cool so what is it?

OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):

it is a. i went through this one already a while back

OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

AWESOME!!!!!!! r u in Edgenuity too?

OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):

i did that for tutoring

OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

cool

OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):

been a couple years

OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

and u remembered?

OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):

if you want give medal to other guy for trying because he was close

OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

kk if u want

OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):

photographic memory just have to rack my brain some times to get it back.

OpenStudy (neer2890):

how you can say that a is correct @AndrewKaiser333

OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

both of you helped ALOT

OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):

i did the plugins

OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

uuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh lets keep things friendly

OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

:)

OpenStudy (neer2890):

so can you tell me how the inequality holds for x=0?

OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):

wait that is the wrong sign sorry it is d.

OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

O k thanks

OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

:) I gave it to neer, he was right first

OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):

np

OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

cool

OpenStudy (neer2890):

if this is d then how it holds for x=0? 3>=6?? what are u doing. @AndrewKaiser333 you are just confusing @SydtheKid913

OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):

i am tired so i spun symbol around by accident then i looked again it is D. i am sorry for the first answer i said.

OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

its ok

OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):

you are supposed to plug it in neer that is how i was tought so that is how i do it.

OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

u guys r both wrong!!!!!!! It was C.!!!

OpenStudy (neer2890):

so for x=0 the inequality |-3*0-3|>=6 |-3|>=6 3>=6??? how can this be possible?

OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):

no look again

OpenStudy (neer2890):

i think it's both B and C

OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):

huh????

OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):

then i need to talk to the one who taught me i got their number still so i will call back tomorrow.

OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):

i am soo sorry

OpenStudy (neer2890):

you don't need to be sorry. atleast you tried to help somebody... @AndrewKaiser333

OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):

since i was taught wrong i have to be sorry because i should have gotten a second person to help just in case

OpenStudy (neer2890):

in think you got it @SydtheKid913 both B and C satisfies for all the values of x between -1 and 3.

OpenStudy (neer2890):

it's ok buddy ., i already did that.@AndrewKaiser333

OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

Lol It's totally fine! Just double check next time.

OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

:)

OpenStudy (andrewkaiser333):
