You are writing an article on gaming systems for you school newspaper. You take a survey of 250 people ages 13 to 18 and ask whether they have a home gaming system, a portable gaming system, or no gaming system. The results of your survey are shown in the matrix below. Age 13 14 15 16 17 18 Home Gaming 12 22 26 32 24 16 Portable Gaming 5 5 4 9 7 6 No Gaming 18 12 8 6 12 16

make a histogram that represents the number of students who have gaming systems (either home or portable.) is the histogram uniform, symmetric, or skewed?

wwut grade is this? :o

@amistre64 @ganeshie8 @abb0t @Clueless_math

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

You'll have to make the histogram on a program like excel, or i guess you can do it by hand

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@agent0smith how can you display some or all of the data using a different representation?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Not sure what you mean...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@agent0smith like instead of histogram to display the data.. what else could i use to display the data?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Idk, maybe a line graph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@agent0smith i decided to go with a stem and leaf plot but thanks so much for ur help :)

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Yeah, a stem and leaf plot would work well.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@agent0smith idk if you know this but what is the experimental probablity that the next person I survey does NOT have a gaming system?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

First find the total # of people without a gaming system, add up all the numbers in here: No Gaming 18 12 8 6 12 16 divide that by the total (which was 250). That's the probability.
