OpenStudy (rebeccapink6398):

Can someone tell me what the mean, range, mode and median is of these numbers 195, 190, 190, 250, and 240

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Mode - 190

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

mean = the sum divided by the amount of numbers in the data range = the difference between the largest and the smallest number mode = the number that occurs most often median = the middle number of the data set (list them from least to greatest and cross them out from the first and the last as you go on to the center)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Median - 195

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Mean - 213

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Range - 60

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Range - The largest value is 250 and the smallest is 190, so the range is 250 – 190 = 60.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The mean is the usual average: (195 + 190 + 190 + 240 + 250) ÷ 5 = 213

OpenStudy (anonymous):

median is the middle value so, 195

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mode is the number that shows up most often so 190

OpenStudy (rebeccapink6398):

Moira went bowling five times during the summer. Her scores were 195, 190, 190, 250, and 240. If she wanted to misrepresent the data to impress people with how well she bowled during the summer which measure would she most likely use? so that would be the mean?

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

my tip is for you to find out the median, mode, mean, range and see which one gives you the highest result. impressing people requires mostly a higher score.
