hey, before when i have taken photos of flowers, i have used a macro lens. on top of this i used a UV lens (yet this i mainly used to protect my kit lens) hope this helps :)

Macro (: But, as well, you may want to put it in black and white or add a colored flare. Either way, use macro and if you choose to then in a darkroom (whether traditional or digital) edit the image to your liking. :D
