@iambatman @master50777 @triciaal

OpenStudy (triciaal):

9x -y = -2 when x =0 what is y when y = 0 what is x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im not sure

OpenStudy (triciaal):

plot the graph this will show the values

OpenStudy (triciaal):

9x -y = -2 when x = 0 9(0) -y = -2 y = 2 (0,2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=2 and x=-.22

OpenStudy (triciaal):

when y = 0 9x -0 = -2 x= -2/9 yes 0.22

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so what else do I do

OpenStudy (triciaal):

I would draw the graph and describe the range etc state that the possible solutions would fall on the line

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so when it says "Determine three different solutions for this equation" what does it mean?

OpenStudy (triciaal):

you need to write an essay

OpenStudy (triciaal):

three different solutions i think means showing the points identified (0,2) (-2/9, 0) etc

OpenStudy (triciaal):

plot a few extra points on your diagram and describe also i didn't actually do the graph but that's what i would expect

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thank you so much do you think you could help me with the others

OpenStudy (triciaal):

what is an inconsistent equation?

OpenStudy (triciaal):

Question 4 for each section pretend its an eqn use y = .... plot the graphs then choose points to satisfy the inequality shade the section of the graph that intersects

OpenStudy (triciaal):

question 5 I would multiply the 2nd eqn by -4 to add to the 1st

OpenStudy (triciaal):

i think the assignment is really to describe how to solve a system of equation

OpenStudy (triciaal):

question 5 part b solve the eqn then write that using these values in the other eqn satisfy the conditions and therefore the eqns are the same. show the details of using the (x,y) values in the eqn

OpenStudy (triciaal):

do you think this helped enough?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes thank you

OpenStudy (triciaal):

ok
