x/2+24=10 help...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok your equation is the same as saying\[x/2 + 48 / 2 = 20/2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

= 48+x=20. subtract 48 from both sides and you have your answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or you could do (10-24)*2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

either work

OpenStudy (taylovesmatthew):

i don't get it i did the (10-24)*2 and the answer was -22 but that's not one of the choices..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then just go with the first way. what is 20-48?

OpenStudy (taylovesmatthew):

-28 XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that an option? because its the right answer XD

OpenStudy (taylovesmatthew):

yes thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure thing :)
