But slavery was about money, and during the industrial revolution, many people weren't too concerned with the south, and the south saw that and wanted to succeed, and as a punishment, Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation, because then he new that would cripple their economy, and they wouldn't be able to fight any more. If you study your government, you will seen most actions they make has something to do with money.
