Music Group Rules brought to you by @Shadowfiend and @TuringTest The kinds of things that *are* allowed in this group: - Discussions and questions on musical theory. - Discussions and questions on instruments, instrumentation, composition, songwriting, etc. - Posting your own original work for feedback and criticism (as usual, please be respectful). Do NOT: - Post YouTube videos for other artists. - Post poems, they belong in the literature or writing section. - Post SoundCloud links for other artists. - Post questions about what people's favorite genres are.
- Post an Artist's name and a song by them, (e.g. a question that contains just -something like "One Direction Kiss You") - Post song lyrics that are not yours - Poll questions (e.g. "Do you like this song?" "What do you think about this band?" etc.) - Questions like "What songs should I download?" "What's good music for a birthday party?" - Information about personal accounts is also apparently not allowed
And, a quote from @TuringTest: "Furthermore, it should be noted that posting song lyrics, or any written material without citing reference, can be seen as plagiarism, which is a federal crime."
oh you're back... add "rap battles" to the do NOT list
Rap Battles? o.o Any examples?
scroll down and see becca's post while you were gone, there was a rap battle trend which got out of hand with cursing and stuff...
Oh. Well diddly dang. In that case: \(\Huge{NO\ RAP\ BATTLES.}\)
but yeah, old post had a bump limit of 200k minutes. Had to reopen :p
No offence but...one of these kinds of posts...is enough...besides thats not even all the rules
Discussions on songwriting is allowing people to send links in the chat and such on their music. It's asking for peoples opinions. Not many people go in this side of openstudy in the first place. It's nice to see what people have made with music.
