How were the Virginia Plan and New Jersey Plan alike?

The main similarity was that the government would be divided into three branches: legislative, executive, and judicial. They also had similar ideas of a stronger government, but the New Jersey plan would have involved strengthening the existing Articles of Confederation rather than creating a new system. if thats any help
