Why do we still no have a cure for the common cold, and expect to find a cure for cancer?
MERIKA
its because caner is life threating and the common cold is not
cancer*
Because there are numerous strains of rhino virus responsible for common cold, also viruses use hosts machinery to replicate, so if u want to kill them u'll have to kill the host cell. So it is in general quite tough to find a cure of viral diseases
Hoot Hoot and Bravo for putting up this question @historybuff69 !
but to cure cancer, you have to find a way to regulate mitosis, which i think would be more difficult.
No, u just need to kill the cancerous cells via chemotherapy or radiotherapy or remove them via surgery.
Uncontrolled mitosis occurs in cancerous cells only and not in each and every cell. Though its quite tough to cure cancer in final stages
but all the cancer is, is mitosis being done repeatedly over a short period of time.
what are you trying to say in this question?
i don't think it is curable, and if it is, it is a very long way off, and i think we should take things one step at a time.
what's not curable ?
a cure to the common cold or cancer?
cancer, or the cold.
i think he means the cold ab
cancer is treatable as previously stated in the replies
well cancer is curable if diagnosed in initial stages, u know benign cancer and malignant cancer ?
it is treatable, but is it really cured.
and do u know contact inhibition ?
ab why is it harder to cure in the later stages is it because the cancer spreads to other parts of the body?
ohkay..what do u understand by the term cure and treatment ?
ive seen some conspiracy theorist website that our gov't created cancer, can you believe that bs!
yes u r ryt @goodkylekiller
yeah
well, i dont really have any idea about this @historybuff69 !
I answered ur question that why it is tougher to find a cure for common cold or HIV than cancer :)
Hippocrates was the first to discover many cancers.
