Which of these provides the best evidence for the plate tectonic theory? the rise of magma by the convergence of Earth plates the destruction of Earth's magnetic field by the rotation of Earth's core the variations in the age of rocks at different distances from the midocean ridges the difference in the shapes of the Atlantic Ridge and the coastlines of continents
OK, so, plate tectonic theory is that the plates move. The exact method of powering it is still argued today. However, what they do know is there are places where new crust is formed and things expand which is complemented by places where there is subduction and older crust is destroyed. The continents float around on top of this system and play bumper cars, which causes earthquakes. So, with that as the really short and basic form of plate tectonics, which of those do you think supports it? Do you see problems with any of those? Take a close look at A. Rise to convergence? Does that make sense? Take each answer that way and see if you can eliminate any for being mistake in what is happening or what it does as an effect. If either the cause or the effect is wring or they are mismatched, then it is not the answer.
