You aren't supposed to give the exact answer you can get banned for that

Just pretend the inequality is an equals = sign, and proceed as usual (The only difficulty being when to flip the inequality sign) -5x+7>42 -5x > 42 - 7 -5x > 35 x < 35/(-5) ... when you divide by both sides by a negative, then you flip the inequality x < -7
