The value of a depends on the depths of the foundations, as well as the widths of the buildings (which are not given). If the roller coaster goes above the buildings, we need the height and widths of the buildings to act as constraints (not given). I am unable to see the details of the coordinates of the buildings. Thank you for posting the detailed "map". I think it is your turn to do something. Hint: if the roller-coaster is not to get under foundations, the parameter a in f(x)=a(x+7)(x+2)(x-6) should be negative.
