What is the equation of a line parallel to the line y = 4x + 7 and passes through the point (3, 0)

rishavraj (rishavraj):

as the required line is parallel to y=4x+7.... its sure tht slope of required line equals to slope of y = 4x + 7...i.e 4 ... now proceed further

OpenStudy (triciaal):

parallel lines have the same slope in the given eqn the slope is (the coefficient of b) = 4 so the slope of the parallel line is 4 this line passes through point (3,0) x = 3, y = 0 you can use point-slope formula plug the numbers and write the eqn of the parallel line
