Foil. Multiply the two first terms then the outer terms next is the inner terms and the last is the last terms.
Usually if you can find some weird/wacky way to remember the process/principles of these things it helps and it sticks to your mind. .
Signs are a bit different:
(3x+6)(3x-8)
9x^2-24x+18x-48
9x^2-6x-48
