What are the examples for classical conditioning in animals?

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

well, if classical conditioning is the acquisition of a response to a new stimulus by association with an old stimulus.

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

then the best example would be Palvov's lab test which he won the nobel prize for

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"in animals" the behaviors, what are the example of it

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

.....the dogs saliva?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what? no I need to think of an example for classical conditioning in animal's behaviors like for example habituation- ducks in small ponds fly away when human approach but they get used to humans over the time as people feed them and ducks realize that humans are no threat to them.

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

lol okay well i clearly suck at this

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

umm, dogs and cats are domesticated and need humans to feed them and if they run away and turn ferral then they die

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm not bad but thank you I'll see what I can take more example off this XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Abhisar can you provide one example of classical conditioning in animal's behavior?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

first off all u know what is that ?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

@PRAETORIAN.10 is ryt about Pavlov's test, he observed that after some time dogs started salivating at the sight of the man who used to feed them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes that is right and that I know I just need an example like I mentioned with the habituation a one sentence example

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

@Abhisar HECK YEAH HE AGREED WITH ME. MR AWESOMENESS AGREED WITH ME. i feel invincible

OpenStudy (abhisar):

I told u an example, u can use it as an example

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ahh well thank you anyways :D

OpenStudy (abhisar):

if u want one more example, chk this

OpenStudy (abhisar):

tell me if u got it @bubblemath122

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes I got thank you again!! that helped me :3

OpenStudy (abhisar):

\(\Huge\text{Anytime !}\) \(\huge\ddot\smile\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Abhisar what is operant conditioning?
