Keep a reflection journal based on the assigned scripture passage in the Devotion section. There are many ways to do this. You may ask questions that need clarification. You may discuss a topic you found interesting or compelling or relate it to a personal experience. In some way, engage the readings. Write approximately 2-3 paragraphs. At the end of the course, you will submit a Final Reflection Journal on your thoughts and experiences throughout the course for a grade. This grade will be based upon the amount of thought and effort that went into the entries, the quality of the writing.
I don't get it.
Passage: Psalm 111:1-10 NASB 1 Praise the LORD! I will give thanks to the LORD with all my heart, In the company of the upright and in the assembly. 2Great are the works of the LORD; They are studied by all who delight in them. 3Splendid and majestic is His work, And His righteousness endures forever. 4He has made His wonders to be remembered; The LORD is gracious and compassionate. 5He has given food to those who fear Him; He will remember His covenant forever. 6He has made known to His people the power of His works, In giving them the heritage of the nations. 7The works of His hands are truth and justice; All His precepts are sure. 8They are upheld forever and ever; They are performed in truth and uprightness. 9He has sent redemption to His people; He has ordained His covenant forever; Holy and awesome is His name. 10The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments; His praise endures forever . Preface: This Psalm celebrates Gods goodness. In a world of hustle and bustle, it is often easy to overlook the significance of Gods presence in our lives. Even those of us who are watching for God, sometimes get caught up looking for huge miraculous events that we overlook the daily miracles brought about right in front of us. Pause to Ponder: This week, I would like you to spend a day or two reading and re-reading this Psalm. Consider the things you notice that come straight from Gods hand. This can range from anything to seeing the beautiful sunrise, finding something of significance, or being at the right place at the right time. More often than not, the more you look for Gods movement in your daily life, the more of Him you will see. After you have spent a day reflecting on these observations, reflect on your day and how you can incorporate some version of this exercise into your daily routines. Prayer Focus: Throughout this week, try to pray a short prayer each day that is simply praise to God,similar to the way this Psalm praises God for His goodness

Its another beautiful day... a day that the Lord had made! I will rejoice and be glad in it. It was overcast this morning and a great blessing to be able to get more work done without the heat on our bodies. Now its sunny and so pretty out, so I will take a break, eat lunch and be rested to go out later. I thank the Lord for bringing Nick to help me with the labor on digging out the root cellar. We are nearly done now, should be done either late today or early tomorrow. Then its waiting for the bricklayer from work; Gary; to show up Wednesday morning and begin the foundation and then laying brick. I praise the Lord for the help I am getting to finish this project. I am blessed so greatly by the Lord, and not financially, but with things many take for granted. The Lord gave me Himself first and foremost, and His peace of heart. Then he gave me a good wife, spirtual gifts, and natural gifts he gives to all mankind, like skills with the hands or an organized mind. Mine are unimportant, but it is important that God gave me the gifts I needed to be able to succeed in this world. He gives all mankind gifts to be able to make thier way in life, but He desires they seek the greater gifts. I praise the Lord for the guidance of the Holy Spirit and His Holy Scriptures. They both are the greatest treasures the Lord gives me daily to guide me in my path in Life. We also started composting to make better dirt for our gardens.Praise the LORD. Blessed are those who fear the LORD, who find great delight in his commands.Their children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed Wealth and riches are in their houses, and their righteousness endures forever. Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous. I am so pleased with the Lords blessing in our lives, but even more important is His simple presence in our lives, guiding us and loving us, and forgiving us our shortfalls. You Lord are Greatly to be Praised! You are worthy of all Glory and Honor!!! From Your Phrase "Praise the LORD!" @Jesstho.-. Hope does this helps ?
