The table shows how far a distance runner has traveled at various times during her race. What was her average speed, in miles per hour, during the interval 0.75 to 1.0 hours after she started her race? Time Spent Running (Hours) Distance Run (Miles) 0.50 2.00 0.75 3.50 1.00 4.75

Not to be picky, but I'd suggest you actually type in a TABLE for your own ease of reference and for that of others. You present only one string of data (0.50 2.00 0.75 3.50 1.00 4.75) and seem to expect the reader to create his/her own table from it. Instead, why not type in: Time Distance 0.50 3.50 2.00 1.00 0.75 4.75 or whatever it was that you meant to share. Once you've done that, you could use the slope formula to find the average rate of change (that is, the average speed) on the given specific time subinterval.
