MEDALS AWARDED TO BEST ANSWER!! Use graphs and tables to find the limit and identify any vertical asymptotes of:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\lim_{x \rightarrow 4-} \frac{ 1 }{ x - 4 }\]

@hartnn

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My options are: a. ∞; x = -4 b. --∞; x = 4 c. 1 ; no vertical asymptotes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I thought the answer was --∞; x = -4 but it's not.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now I'm thinking the answer is --∞; x = 4. Is that right? @hartnn Could you help me out?

hartnn (hartnn):

you know what \(x \to 4^- \) mean ?

hartnn (hartnn):

\( -∞; x = 4 \) is correct, but you should know how to get it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay thanks.
