Chords and intersect in circle O as shown in the diagram. Two of the angle measurements are marked. What is mCED?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the diagram?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Where is the diagram?

@dpasingh @sdfghj

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Does DA form a line/diameter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is O the center?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think angle D=180-48-90

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sdfghj How would that help me find angle ced

OpenStudy (anonymous):

try filling out angles you can find.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But i have to used inscribed angles right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont understand this is so stupid

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i don't think so. there has to be some formula @amistre64

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i figured out the formula. I think you add 48+32 and divide by 2 because its an inscribed angle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

82 not 32

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well that comes to 65 which is one of the options

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sdfghj

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i am pretty sure that is the answer!!!

OpenStudy (amistre64):

Chords __ and __ intersect in circle O ^^ ^^ ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@amistre64 What?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

your post is missing information ..... but i think i can see past it |dw:1402591977176:dw| the central angles define the arcs, and the angle of crossing is simply an average of the subtended arcs.
