OpenStudy (awkwardpanda):

I'm so confused .-. okay so this problem says write each polynomial in standard form. Then classify it by degree and by number of terms. 17. 7x^3-10x^3+x^3 which is apparently -2x^3 cubic monomial. Does it reduce because all of the terms are cubic?

OpenStudy (awkwardpanda):

also 16. 6x^3-x^3 which is 5x^3.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you keep them as they are, dont reduce or anything

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-2x^3 and 5x^3

OpenStudy (awkwardpanda):

right but by are they -2x^3 and not 10x^3-7x^3+x^3? or 6x^3-x^3?

OpenStudy (awkwardpanda):

why are they*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha standard form means u put term with highest exponent first, then less than that one, then less than that but here each term has power 3 so you just write ur final result

OpenStudy (awkwardpanda):

right xD okay thank you.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

welcome (:
