Which of the following statements regarding the cell cycle is accurate? Answer a. Regulation of the cell cycle involves cyclin-dependent kinases and cyclins. b. Mitosis is subdivided into G1, S, and G2. c. Mitosis is typically longer than interphase. d. The cell cycle is poorly regulated at the G1 to S and G2 το M transitions. e. The cell cycle consists of alternating stages of cell growth (M phase) and cell division (interphase).

OpenStudy (abhisar):

One among A & e, i am more inclined towards a

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

the cell cycle consists of: G1 = growth and preparation of the chromosomes for replication; S = synthesis of DNA and duplication of the centrosome; G2 = preparation for M = mitosis.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yea, I think it's A also, because E is only in Mitosis? correct me @Abhisar So I think I'm going to put A, thanks.

OpenStudy (shrutipande9):

i am with abhisar....A and E. because cell cycle is highly regulated, G1 S G2 and M are different phases of the cell cycle, interphase consisting of G1 G2 S is the longest phase

OpenStudy (abhisar):

No e is wrong, one among A & D..i just noted it says M as Growth phase

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A is right, it's a true fact.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

yep, i think so
