2x-3y+9=0 and passes through P(3,4) in general form

is part of the question missing? is it supposed to be parallel to the first line?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No sorry,Perpendicular to question

alrighty then! so perpendicular lines have negative reciprocal slopes thats just a fancy way of saying -1 over the slope of one of the lines. start by finding the slope of the first given equation by putting it in general form 2x+9=3y (2x+9)/3=y so now whats the slope of the original?
