A map is drawn to a scale 1cm=118 km. How many kilometers apart are two towns which are 4.5 cm apart on the map? A. 232km B.488km C.511km D.531km E. None of the choices are correct. Can someone explain me please :( :(

Ok- this is a nice unit conversion problem: |dw:1402637584358:dw| Here we are using the conversion factor, 118 km = 1 cm, to convert our 4.5 cm map distance to km, Notice the cm units divide out.
