6x+3=x-22 What is x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You first want to get all of the x variables to one side of the equal sign, and the other numbers to the other side.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You take this problem, and first subtract three from both sides, giving you: \[6x=x-25\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then, you subtract "x" from both sides of the equal sign, which would give you: \[5x=-25\]

Thank you
