When a virus invades the body, some B cells recognize it as nonself and produce plasma cells that release a substance to kill the virus. What is this substance called?

OpenStudy (somy):

Antibodies

OpenStudy (somy):

if the talk is about plasma cells then plasma cells are the ones that produce antibodies in high speed

OpenStudy (somy):

by binding to the antigen site of the virus

Hello @isa_m805 and welcome to OpenStudy. From immunology it known that B-lymphocytes are trying to bind antigens with different affinity through antibodies , when an antigen is bound to an antibody with a high affinity, a cellular response is triggered to create the antibody of interest. This production of specific antibodies are happening through plasma cells. which are specified from B-lymphocytes.
