Theresa added -17 + -12 and got the answer -29. What error did Theresa make?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

She found the difference of the numbers instead of the sum. She changed the sign of the number 17 instead of the number 12. She chose the incorrect sign for the sum. She did not make an error: -17 + -12 = -29.

OpenStudy (igreen):

Dude..-17 + -12 = -29..so the answer is D.

OpenStudy (igreen):

Btw, do you do FLVS? I do it..
