solve it by using ratio formula y = (k2y1+k1y2)/ki+k2 where k1=1 & k2=3 & y1=9 & y2=2

I got -14.5...@israr000 is that correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i have solved it & got b option i.e. 7.25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is actually pretty easy. If the ratio is 1:3, then the coordinate is 1/4 of the line from F. You can find the midpoint of the line, which is (5.5,5.5). Then, find the midpoint of F and your midpoint. You get (4.75, 3.75). So, your y coordinate for H should be 3.75.

[3(9)+1(2)]/1+3

solve this u will get 7.25 i.e. b option...

ok, got it! thank you @israr000
