Please help! I will fan and give medal!

geerky42 (geerky42):

V = Bh, where B is area of base and h is height.

geerky42 (geerky42):

Do you know the area of base?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no.

geerky42 (geerky42):

What is area of circle?

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

\[V=\pi r^2h\] where v is volume r is radius h is height

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I only know the height and the radius.

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

plug in the given values and solve

geerky42 (geerky42):

Use this formla A = 3.14 r^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can I help her? I love to problems like these!!! :)

geerky42 (geerky42):

Who said you can't? @CrazyCountryGirl

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

@CrazyCountryGirl i do too but you start to hate it after a few problems

OpenStudy (anonymous):

V=π x r^2 x h π = R = H = Can you answer this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@QueenElsa5

OpenStudy (igreen):

That's all you need.. \[V = \pi r^2h\] \[V = (3.14)(9^2)(22)\] \[V = (3.14)(81)(22)\] Can you multiply those three numbers? @QueenElsa5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes.

OpenStudy (igreen):

Alrighty. That'll be your answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@iGreen You shouldn't have answered that, she needs to figure it out on her own.

OpenStudy (igreen):

And she will.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got 5595.48

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know how he got that stuff? Tell me how you did it, I wanna make sure you know. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Got what stuff? Because he got a lot of stuff.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

V=π x r^2 x h π = R = H = Can you answer this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

π= 3.14 R = 9 H =22

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ahh, I see.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks, you two.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Should I close this now?

OpenStudy (igreen):

Yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (igreen):

Sorry let me correct something.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah?

OpenStudy (igreen):

Let me explain it a little more. The picture tells you what the Radius and what the height is. You should already know that pi = 3.14. So all you had to do was plug in pi, radius(MULTIPLY IT BY ITSELF*), and the height and multiply them all.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok.

OpenStudy (igreen):

You have to multiply the radius by itself, not by 2. That was a mistake I made.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, I got it. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k.
