How is constructing a perpendicular bisector similar to constructing an angle bisector? How is it different?

OpenStudy (matt101):

In both cases you're bisecting something - in other words, you're dividing something into two equal parts. The difference is that a perpendicular bisector divides a line segment, while an angle bisector divides an angle. If we're talking about a doing this in a polygon, a perpendicular bisector is drawn through a side, while an angle bisector is drawn through a vertex.
