OpenStudy (anonymous):

When a true-breeding white flower is crossed with a true-breeding purple flower, the progeny are lavender. This result suggests: a. Flower color is determined by complete dominance b. Flower color is determined by codominance c. Flower color is determined by incomplete dominance d. White is the recessive form of the trait.

OpenStudy (alphadxg):

There is a blending Idea going on here, so because their is a blending - meaning that 2 traits are mixed to give a new color. Incomplete dominance is a form of intermediate inheritance in which one allele for a specific trait is not completely dominant over the other allele. This results in a third phenotype in which the expressed physical trait is a combination of the dominant and recessive phenotypes. Incomplete dominance is similar to, but different from co-dominance. In co-dominance, an additional phenotype is produced, however both alleles are expressed completely. So the blending, just remember that.
