Logos is factual data, while ethos makes credibility. I know he's the president and that's pretty credible, but he's giving facts. I think this also applies to emotions what he is saying which is why I put pathos initially.

True, Factual (Not everyone believes this, so it may be a hint of pathos)

Again, this is just quoting the Declaration of Independence or Constitution or Federalist Papers or etc. so I do want to say logos. However, the word "threatened" almost has to fall under "pathos". I also cannot avoid your observation that he was the POTUS, so that Ethos is unavoidable.
