First offence for answer giving is warning but I think this was just a case of miscommunication? your first comment of "D ???" of which DoomKnight accused you of giving direct answer of seemed to be that you were simply asking what the option of D was, since the asker did not provide. is that the case?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Yes i asked for the option D

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Then she told me the option D, then i Doomking told the correct answer ahead of me, then i said thanks to him, then asked him to xplain for which he said Google, then i xplained the asker why it should be D

hartnn (hartnn):

You can't get suspended for that. Answer giving is very light offence as jiggly said, i usually give about 3 warning before suspending someone for answering, but most mods will atleast give out one warning.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

yeah..COC said i should xplain my answers. But some people say giving answers is offence. Is it so ?

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

It would be best if one could explain their answers, yes but if the question is too simple to explain (like 4+4=?) then there can be some leeway for answer giving. Our goal here as helpers, are to Teach people, not give them answers to their homework. So any type of answer giving should best be avoided. Some askers come here for just answers and reap off the ways that some users "answer with an explanation", which does not violate the CoC "direct answers" persay, but makes me itchy non the less... "sometimes it's best to simply give an explanation and let the person try to find the answer themselves, otherwise they could simply glance at your comment, find the answer they were looking for, thank you, and not even read the explanation you worked so hard to type out" here are some methods that can help: http://prntscr.com/39dkse

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Yes I agree uh..but honestly when i try to do this....80% of them stop responding ! :(

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

but the 20% benefit from it :) It's worth the tries and keep on chugging along of the 80% that do no respond because they are waiting for a direct answer, then they do not belong here, let them be, and if they really want to learn, they would interact :)

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Yes i totally agree with uh ! I think its a great opportunity to learn...which i dont had at my time....I think the rest 80% are not using it in the best way they can

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Thnx @hartnn @jigglypuff314 !
